Master Your Holiday Meal!

On Set with Brian Dunn, Corporate Development Chef of Roche Brothers at Gordon's Fine Wine and Liquor

On Set with Brian Dunn, Corporate Development Chef of Roche Brothers at Gordon’s Fine Wine and Liquor

‘Tis the season for big family dinners and holiday entertaining!  Are  you hosting this year?  If you are looking for some last minute inspiration for your holiday meals, check out the Master Your Holiday Meals web cooking series that Brian Dunn, Corporate Development Chef at Roche Bros and I put together with 5 home cooks across Massachusetts!  Roche Brothers supplied beautiful ingredients and we had a blast putting together some of our seasonal favorites.  From the quintessential Prime Rib Roast, to a simplified take on the 7 Fishes, a deconstructed stuffed artichoke appetizer, a gluten free dairy free green bean casserole, and more, we share some of our tips and recipes for the holiday season!

AJ and I alternate holidays between our families.  This year, we are hosting the Rossi’s Feast of the Seven Fishes on Christmas Eve.  Be sure to check out our Ciopinno recipe!  Nine weeks ago, AJ and I welcomed Max into the world.  And while sleepless nights and snowy days have turned the holidays into a blur for the three of us, there is something about a little one that makes this time of year feel magical.  Not to mention, our secret to the witching hour these days seems to be a big Italian family gathering:)  This year with a newborn bouncing in a baby bjorn, how great if we could tackle all seven fishes with just one dish- pretty please, Santa?

Happy Holidays, from our family to yours!

Look who surprised me on the Roche Bros. set! My two favorite boys showed up just as we wrapped!   Behind the scenes, post production at Gordon’s Fine Wine and Liquors in Waltham, MA. AJ and I are hopeful Max will have MasterChef royalty running in his veins and consider MasterChef Junior in a couple years:)

Max's first day on set. I can't wait until he is ready for solid foods!
